And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin

The darling buds of March.

3/21

The weather was nice and sunny for most of last week so these guys finally decided to come out!

3/20

Some trees are starting to blossom around here! It's awesome!

A picture of the daffodils I got from the grocery store last week. They are still bright and kicking at this very moment! They were tight buds the night I put them in water and then I work up to a gorgeous flowery burst! It's part of my St. Patty's/Easter display for the table.

My friends Katy and Anthony welcomed their second son last Friday. I was thrilled to finally meet Westley today. He is such a sweet and tiny boy!

I found out today that an old friend from middle school passed away earlier this month from heart failure. She was always very nice to me and made those hellish 3 years of my life a little more bearable. Rest in peace Elise.

3/16

A church in Nuremberg, Germany. I know I've posted a different pic of the same building before but it's just so gorgeous and striking.

The wild ponies at Assateague National Park. This was taken last August on a trip to Ocean City, Maryland with my inlaws.

Happy Pi Day! Today is Albert Einstein's birthday. Since he lived in Princeton for 20 years, the town had a celebration today. We saw a look alike in the library today. Those kids were blown away by this guy!

3/13

Taken today while walking around in Princeton. The rain stopped but it was still quite dreary. Several of the roads are flooded and we're supposed to get more early this week.

3/12

I was having technical issues for most of the weekend and couldn't upload pics. I'll do three today to make up for it. This was taken in Hopewell back in early February. I thought the headstone looked like a photocopy.

3/11

I took several pictures of this church in Hopewell, NJ last night and I decided this was the best one.

I was trying to get my camera to focus!

These pictures were taken on a Wild Edibles walk I did with my friend Shannon last spring.

More upcycled Spring flowers from 2009. This was taken at the Watershed near Pennington, NJ.

This is Rocco and Lola. They live at the Silver Forge Farm. I've always thought it would be cool to have a pig.

Another picture from last Spring. Recycling is good, right?

Thursday, March 4, 2010

3/4

I think that I'm being remarkably patient for Spring. Don't you?

We're supposed to get snow flurries today but nothing major is going to stick. I can't wait to start taking pictures like this again.

3/2

I think this is just my way of dropping Spring a little hint.

Happy March! This was taken last spring. We're probably close to another month from the flower burst this year but I'm trying to patiently wait and enjoy the fact that there are four distinct seasons.

It's grey and slushy outside today but Chris and I still managed to have a lovely lunch date .

Our favorite 1 year old is a 2 year old as of yesterday. We're celebrating today with her family. Happy Birthday Carolina!

Taken from the inside looking out through my back window. We got much more snow than I was expecting. I was surprised at how much was waiting in the morning when I took Chowder out!

2/25

Okay...this isn't from today. It's from our last snow storm. We have snow on the ground now but not nearly as much. It isn't over yet. Although it seems to have stopped for now, it's supposed to start back up and fall from tonight into tomorrow.

Wednesday, February 24, 2010

2/24

Wow! I didn't realize this but yesterday was my 100th picture post! By the middle of next month, I'll be 1/3 of the way through the year. This was taken a few weeks ago. The day after we got hit with the last big snow storm. They're predicting that we might get more tomorrow. We shall see...

Also taken in Red Bank last weekend. This is the restaurant where we were planning on eating dinner but it was full with reservations so we ended up a block away. I still like the way this turned out and wish I'd been able to get some more pictures inside of the place. It was cool!

Monday, February 22, 2010

2/22

Taken this past Saturday in Red Bank, NJ. I thought this tree looked especially menacing.

Sunday, February 21, 2010

2/21

We still have snow on the ground here. It's slowly melting away but we're due for more snow/rain all through next week so we'll see where that puts us. We're starting to see patches of ground that had been hidden under ice for weeks.

2/20

My adorable husband, Chris. This was shot one week ago at the party. Today we're going out to Red Bank with some friends and I'm excited! It's gonna be fun!

2/19

Some of the favors from Ash's party. Since we went with a prom theme, I thought the mini crowns and the lip whistles would be fun. I kinda had the Hole "Live Through This" album in mind when I bought them. Anyways, I thought it'd be festive for Friday!

Just in case you were curious, here's the inside of one of those cupcakes! Pretty awesome, huh?

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

2/17

Today marks six months of chewies, walks and dog cuddles. We adopted our little man on August 17th of last year and he's been one of the best things to ever happen to our family. No, we didn't make him cupcakes. This is from my friend Ashley's party last weekend.

2/16

My friends and I threw a party last Saturday and I caught my daughter Molly on film in full goth mode.

Paging Cute Overload! My little man Chowder. This was lovingly snapped over the weekend.

Happy Valentines Day! This was the most romantic picture that managed to catch my eye. It's actually my All Souls alter shot from last November but it'll do!

Saturday, February 13, 2010

1/13

Today is my friend Ashley's birthday. This picture was taken last December on the train to New York City. We're throwing a kick ass party for her tonight and it's going to be FUN!!!

Friday, February 12, 2010

2/12

Taken outside of one of my favorite Mexican places in Princeton a few weeks ago. I'd never noticed it before and I guess my husband hadn't either. He's the one who laughed and pointed it out.

Thursday, February 11, 2010

2/11

Taken yesterday afternoon/early evening from by bedroom window. This isn't even ALL of the snow! It continued to fall for another 5+ hours after this was taken.

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

2/10

We're buried in snow today. This picture was taken a few weekends ago in Hopewell, NJ on an outing with some friends. The same friends that I was with when the NYC picture that was posted yesterday was taken. We get around!

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

2/9

This was taken in NYC back in December. We just got hit with a serious snow shower last weekend and we're supposed to get round two starting today. I'm ready.

Monday, February 8, 2010

2/8

And now for something completely different! This was taken in Princeton a few weeks ago while we were going out for lunch. The place was closed but at least I got to watch these precious collies on the porch for a few minutes. My family had one, Maggie, for 13 years.

Okay. This is the last of the Viennese graveyard shots. I thought I'd seal it with a kiss.

Saturday, February 6, 2010

I love that the curtain draped over the tomb looks like real cloth. I also love that burst of fall color on the left side.

I thought this one was particularly cool. I didn't manage to see if this was a plot for a man or a woman so it's difficult to tell if this is supposed to be the deceased or someone mourning the deceased.

I really loved seeing these flowers peeking out of the dead leaves. I also like the idea of a lantern on a grave.

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

This is a burial site for an entire family.
