I suppose you're tired of dead composers by now. Visiting that site was just such a humbling experience for me. This is the last one and it's another close up of Beethoven's grave. I have a few more headstones and statues from the graveyard but no more musicians. I promise.

A little bit of the old Ludwig von. Chris and I were both surprised at how simple his headstone was compared to the other composers.

Mozart was not buried in the same graveyard but there was a statue that served to memorialize him with the graves of the other composers. He was broke when he died and was buried in a common grave which was Viennese custom at the time. This should have been the picture for tomorrow...his birthday.

Franz Schubert's gravesite. His wasn't quite so covered with dead leaves. It was November so it was that time of year for it. The lighting was perfect that day though. I'm really pleased with a lot of the pictures I took at that grave yard (obviously!)

A far away shot of Brahms. All of the graves of the famous composers were adorned with flowers, candles and other sentimental objects of admirers. It was quite touching.

Inside of the Stephensdom in Vienna. I love going inside of old churches. The candles that represent peoples hopes and prayers always strike a chord within me.

A golden statue of Strauss in the same park. This is in a bunch of brochures and stuff about Vienna. I remember seeing it from our cab on the way to our hotel and getting really excited! His headstone is equally ornate.

Taken in the same park on the same day in Vienna but for different reasons. That park was FULL of statues and busts. I especially love when they are all greenish like this one. Every time I pass this one in my pictures, it catches my eye.

Part 3 of the Klimt landscape shots. This one was all about the shapes. I loved how the tree in the middle was slightly covered with orbs of leaves. I know it's all very nerdy. This is the last one, I promise.

I absolutely love this picture of Molly. This was taken on Monday right before she left for school. I bought her that hat forever ago and she's finally getting around to wearing it. She just brought home her social studies test that we've been working hard on and she did really well! I'm so proud!

Taken while walking through the park in Vienna in November of last year. I can't believe that was almost two months ago now. I was inspired by some recent Klimt paintings I'd seen of textured landscapes. I also love photographing berry looking things. Especially red ones.

A small stone panel on the side of a church in Germany. I love all of the tiny details that go into old churches and other buildings. I went to this particular church both times I was in Germany last year because I love the way it smells inside.

My husband has decided he wants to learn more about cooking (yay!). I got him a really good book for Christmas and since then, he has churned out 3 loaves of bread and this pie (yay!). Tonight, he is going to cook dinner. I know, I'm a lucky girl (yay!).

Taken at Princeton University last Wednesday while I was accompanying Molly's class on a field trip to the art museum on campus. The museum had an impressive collection and I plan on taking Molly back to see the entire thing very soon.

A photo that didn't make the cut for the macaron post I'll be making on my food blog within the next few days. I'm completely obsessed with them! Cupcakes are so 2007. Macarons are where it's at!!! I got an awesome book for Christmas and I hope to churn some out this year!

My friend Shannon took me to a restaurant in Red Bank last week and look what they had! When I was growing up, my friend Ryan had a Ms. Pac-Man game in his attic. It was like a second home to all of us. Seeing this reminded me of being a teenager again.

This picture reminds me that I haven't really taken advantage of the great fruits that are in season right now! Pomegranates and grapefruit and all sorts of other stuff. I have, however, eaten my fair share of tangerines.

Snapped a few days ago in Red Bank, NJ. I was shopping with my friend Shannon. I really love Red Bank and it had been a while since I'd been there. We're hoping to make another trip soon because we had to cut this one short so we could get to the theatre to see Avatar.

Happy 2010! It's a southern tradition to start off the first day of the new year with black eyed peas and collards. It's supposed to bring good luck and prosperity. I started my beans in the crock pot 3 days ago so they're really tender and full of flavor now. I'm gonna put my cornbread in the oven shortly and then, it's on!
